For over 10 years DHU has been working in northern Uganda to reconcile deaf and hearing communities through training sign language interpreters, working with families with deaf children, vocational training opportunities for local deaf people and supporting local schools & churches which service the deaf community

DHU also run Go Camps several times a year around northern Uganda, which are week long discipleship camps aimed at deaf youth.
